Consultant Neurophysiologist - Dr Dr Santiago Catania

Dr Michael Gross

Dr Santiago Catania trained as a Clinical Neurophysiologist at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) and at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and was appointed as a consultant to Oldchurch Hospital (Romford) and the NHNN in 2001. In 2006 he moved to St Mary’s Hospital (Paddington) and since 2012 he has a full time consultant position at the NHNN. 

During his training he gained expertise in performing Nerve Conduction Studies and Electromyography (NCS/EMG) and interpreting Electroencephalograms (EEG). He also treats medical conditions with Botulinum Toxin injections regularly.

His clinical interests are: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Ulnar neuropathy, Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy, Radiculopathies, Peripheral Nerve Injuries, Myopathies/Myositis and Epileptic disorders.
